Sue & Mike have over 16 years experience at setting up and running smallholdings in both the UK and France.  Although we now only have llamas and chickens on the smallholding, over the years we have owned, bred  and raised a wide range of different animals ranging from Clydesdale Heavy Horses, Llamas, Goats, Sheep and chickens and so have a wealth of experience at what it takes to keep all these different animals safe and healthy. We offer a number of 1 day Courses designed to help you increase your knowledge and gain practical hands experience in several areas that will help you on your smallholding.  • 1 Day Compact Tractor Course • 1 Day Fencing Course • 1 Day Smallholding Introduction Course The one day courses can be booked individually or grouped together to create 2 or 3 day fully inclusive residential courses.  Alternatively if you wish to attend all 3 courses and then extend your stay to 5 days (or longer) so you can alternate your time here between learning and just relaxing, we can also cater for this, just contact us for a price. All the courses are conducted in English and so there are no potential translation issues to cope with. Prices: 1 Day Courses (non residential) The fully inclusive price for each of the 1 day courses is €130 Per Person (approx £102*)  which also includes a lunch and non alcoholic refreshments throughout the day (Teas,Coffee, Juice, Water etc). 2 day Residential Course The fully inclusive price for a 2 Day Residential Course is €300 (approx £236*) for 1 person or €500 (approx £393*) for two people sharing a double room.   The fully inclusive price includes your accommodation, all meals as well as drinks:  wine with dinner, water, tea, coffee and soft drinks throughout the day. 3 Day Residential Course The fully inclusive price for a 3 Day Residential Course is €450 (approx £355*) for 1 person or €750 (approx £590*)  for two people sharing a double room.   The fully inclusive price includes your accommodation, all meals as well as drinks:  wine with dinner, water, tea, coffee and soft drinks throughout the day. * Depending on the exchange rate at the time of payment For more information about any of our smallholding courses or to make a booking, please just telephone or send us an e- mail. If you would like to attend any of the residential courses but would prefer to bring your own accommodation in the form of a caravan or tent, this is perfectly acceptable and we can accommodate this.  Please contact us for a revised price. Dress:  You are advised to bring clothing and footwear suitable for working on the farm.  Handling tractor attachments and fencing materials can be very dirty work     We recommend steel toe-capped boots or wellingtons, a good pair of hard wearing work gloves (canvas builders gloves are good) for handling equipment or fencing wire.
